Classic City Wedding at Grant Humphreys Mansion | Ben and Julie are Married!

September 8, 2018

It's really not a joke that Ben and Julie met on April 1st, 2011.  They both were invited to a social gathering in Boulder and Ben was immediately drawn to Julie.  They first met right at midnight, so Ben states that's when he found his Cinderella, and from that moment, their lives would be forever changed; however, it wasn't until 3 years later at graduation from the University of Colorado that Ben and Julie would finally get a chance at love.  One the pencils were down and the caps were thrown, the two started dating.  Ben, being the romantic that he is, (but mostly it was just the fact that he was straight out of college), decided their first date would be at Panera Bread (thank you Panera!).  Ben knew that what he lacked in pizzazz, would be made up for ten-fold by bread bowls and soup...and lucky for him, his plan worked.

Ben and Julie shared a first look together at Cheesman park, only 2 minutes from their condo before their ceremony at Grant Humphreys Mansion.

These two truly just LOVE being around each other!

 THE PROPOSAL:

A few years later, Julie convinced Ben, who went along willingly, to take their relationship to the next level and started house hunting. Little did they know the next level they would take it to would be the 4th floor of a beautiful condominium in the Cheeseman park neighborhood...

But they couldn’t keep this great location all to themselves, so their family grew in size (about 90 lbs) and in fur. Confused at the proposition of getting a small bear, Julie was able to convince Ben (again) that this was exactly what they needed. And of course she was right. Nelson, the ½ Bear ½ dog, joined Ben and Julie in June of 2017 (see more of Nelson here)...

Ben knew he had to do whatever it took to make sure that Julie and Nelson would be his for forever. He bought a BEAUTIFUL ring and knew the perfect date to propose would come from one of Julie’s favorite songs “Unforgettable” by Thomas Rhett. Just as the song says, “It was the 14th of October” Ben set the date for the proposal. With a lot of help from the crew (shout out to Katie, Stacy, Lisa and Matt!), Ben was able to pull off the most perfect engagement on the cold windswept peak of Flagstaff mountain in the city where they started in Boulder.

To the wonderful vendors who made this day possible, you rock!
