You might be one to cringe at the idea of being set up on a first date, but for Josh and Stephanie, that was quite the opposite. When one of Josh's groomsmen and Kristen, (their officiant) decided to set them up on a date, they didn't really think much of it, but after going to Upstairs Circus downtown and making crafts, they decided they actually liked each other and, sure enough, a week later, they set up another date.
Their first summer together was spent going to sporting events, and hiking...you know, the usual summer activities, and bonded over their love of comedies, sports, games, and their puppy Ellie. But things didn't become official until Josh agreed to be Stephanie's date to her brother's wedding and it was there that he met Steph's entire family at once. It was then that Steph knew he was really "in this" because he was willing to put himself into that (what could have been) intimidating situation.
In 2017, just before Christmas, Josh and Stephanie went to Las Vegas. Josh made reservations at one of the top of the world restaurants in the Stratosphere. They sat by one of the windows in the restaurant that rotated and loved being able to see the entire city lit up. Once dessert came, they set a chocolate shell in front of Steph. She began to push it toward the middle thinking her and Josh were going to share it, but it was then that Josh surprised her by opening the top to pull out the ring and propose!
