Kansas City Country Club Wedding | Cameron and Katherine are Married!

September 1, 2019

Katherine's best guy friend she had known from Kansas City found a new townhouse to move into when he wanted to move to DC.  He would also be sharing the new home with 2 room-mates--both of which he hadn't met yet.  When it came time to move, he solicited Katherine to help him.  Cameron was one of the guys that would soon share the house with Katherine's friend and the two met while moving in.  Cameron thought Katherine was cute from the get go, but assumed she was taken and dating the guy she was helping to move in.  But when he finally figured out that they were just friends, he jumped at the opportunity to ask Katherine out.

It wasn't immediate, however.  Cameron and Katherine both had eyes for each other, and flirted quite a bit before Cameron would finally gain the confidence to ask Katherine out.  The spark ignited over one 4th of July weekend at Cameron's lake house, where Katherine recalls, they fell absolutely in love.  However, they both would give it some time before confessing their love to each other.  In the meantime, Cameron created a playlist for Katherine with quite a few love songs which could help him express his feelings for her.

THE PROPOSAL!

Cameron asked Katherine's dad in October, and was able to keep the secret until December!! Though he was a little sketchy the week and day of the proposal, so Katherine was suspicious. He had an original plan to go to Mount Vernon for fireworks on the water, but it was rained out. So he made a last minute switch (since everyone was already in town for it), to pick up Katherine at work, and walk to the Capitol Rotunda to propose. Followed by a walk out onto the Speaker's Balcony with a view of the National Mall. They walked home to Katherine's apartment and Cameron and Katherine's parents were waiting with champagne. They then went to dinner at their first date spot and Katherine's sister and brother in law were there to surprise Katherine. After dinner, they went to drinks with all their friends to celebrate! Including Katherine's sorority sister that lives in Nashville.
