It was September 2010, during their Junior year of High School. Joe and Laura both attended different schools but agreed to be set up on a blind date by a mutual friend at Joe's high school Homecoming. They met for the first time the night before the dance and immediately hit it off. The dance the next day was no exception, but little did Joe and Laura know just how much they would actually enjoy each other's company. So, Laura asked Joe if he would also be willing to attend her High School's homecoming dance that was to be held two weeks later. Joe excitedly accepted Laura's invitation, and asked Laura to be his girlfriend during that second homecoming they attended together.
By the time they both graduated high school, Laura and Joe were nervous about their relationship since they both decided to attend different colleges, but after they finished their first year, they were still together and missing each other like crazy. By their second year of college, Laura had begun looking to transfer schools so she could be closer to Joe. Halfway through her Sophomore year, she made one of the most difficult decisions to transfer to the same school Joe was attended. To this day; however, it was the best decision she made. After transferring schools, Laura and Joe decided to study abroad together in Ireland and had some of the most amazing experiences traveling through Europe; and it was during their time in Europe together Laura realized she wanted to marry Joe, and Joe realized he did not want to be with anyone else except Laura for the rest of his life.
In May of 2017, Laura and Joe planned a vacation to Arizona with some friends. One of the nights they were there, Joe asked Laura to get dressed up for a dinner he had planned because he also wanted to get some nice photos of them together. While they were walking on their way over to dinner, Joe began to tell Laura how much he loved her, how happy she made him and more. Just at that moment, he stopped, looked Laura straight in the eyes, and stated, "I don't want to wait any longer to marry you." it was then that he dropped down on one knee and asked Laura to spend the rest of her life with him. Overfilled with Joy, Laura immediately said "YES!".
I have so enjoyed getting to know this sweet couple throughout their engagement and it was such a joy to be able to photograph their beautiful wedding!
