1 in 3 Entrepreneurs suffer from depression.
It wasn't until I became an entrepreneur myself that I realized just how emotionally strenuous it can be...and with the recent news of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, it's important to keep in mind that just because we may look like we have it all together, it doesn't mean we do.
In fact, most entrepreneurs are so good at putting the "fake it til you make it" face on, that we hesitate to reach out into our community and talk about our struggles in business.
I've suffered, and I know I'm not alone in this journey. If you know someone who works from home, reach out to them today, and just ask how they're doing. Ask to get together with them, and pull them away from their quiet house, and help them to get out and about. I started being really honest with myself and my husband about the struggles I've been dealing with as an entrepreneur this year and with his help, (and the help of my dog), I've been able to pull out of the deep dark pit that is entrepreneurship, and I'm happy to say I'm not struggling nearly as much as I was.
How have you dealt with the mental battles of entrepreneurship? I want to know in the comments below! Let's help each other out, and cheer each other on!
