How can I narrow down my favorite images from 2017? I personally think I have the best clients ever and each wedding and memory of 2017 left me feeling full, excited, and thankful.
2017 brought me many amazing opportunities, and even though business was slower than I might have liked, I still can look back knowing I was able to give my clients an amazing experience along with accomplishing some pretty amazing dreams.
In 2017, I was paid to go to Cuba to photograph an elopement. I was also paid to photograph an elopement at a place I had set a goal to shoot back in 2016. That place was the Salt Flats in Utah.
I photographed 17 weddings, and 3 elopements, made many beautiful friends in my clients, and networked so hard with other vendors.
In 2017 a CEO of a venue reached out to me even while she was on a permanent leave just to tell me she had never seen another photographer give so much attention to detail and prepare other vendors before weddings like I had. Her email was long and encouraging, but she ended with this, "I just wanted to recognize your professionalism, your proactive style and much more, it has not gone unnoticed!".
If it seems like I'm boasting...well, I am. I'm celebrating my success...which is not in the numbers, or the blog features, or magazine features. My success is in having a bride receive her images and call me in tears of joy. My success is in being able to make a career for myself so that I can stay home with my dogs and make a home for my husband. My success is in being able to work with incredible couples who are truly passionate about making their marriage work.
It took me a while to narrow these down....but here were my best moments of 2017...these are in no particular order!
(personally, the "in the moment" ones are my favorite ;))
Thank you to all my amazing clients in 2017! I cannot wait to see what 2018 brings!
