Lodge at Breckenridge Wedding | Brian and Kimberlee are Married!
Brian and Kimberlee initially met at a Texas Roadhouse and became good friends rather quickly. One night, Brian and Kimberlee decided to go to a party together and after quite a few drinks, Kimberlee woke up the next morning to 3 voicemails from Brian saying he was in love with her.
This scared Kimberlee, so instead of being open to the idea of a relationship with Brian, she gave him the cold shoulder. Brian, instead, started dating another co-worker and the two became friends again; however, it bothered Kimberlee immensely that he was dating another girl. She soon realized that it was because she had feelings for Brian too!
Time had passed and Brian's girlfriend broke up with him. Kimberlee was there for Brian through the breakup and three months later, decided to give dating each other a go. They moved in together only 3 months into dating and as we celebrated their wedding yesterday, they have been friends for 10 years, and dating for 7. Kimberlee sees Brian as her favorite adventure buddy, her rock, family and best friend.
When it came to the proposal, Brian knew he had to incorporate something they both loved to do together. Brian and Kimberlee had a goal to visit all the National Parks in the U.S. so last year, when they were planning their 2 week road trip to visit some National Parks, he knew it had to happen then. About half way through the trip on the first day of fall, Brian and Kimberlee arrived in Huntington Beach and checked into their hotel. Kimberlee wanted to wind down in the hotel room after all the driving but Brian insisted that they go to the beach and watch the sunset and take a photo with his drone. After all, they don't live near a beach so they might as well take advantage of it. Brian had been taking photos with his drone the whole trip, so she didn't think anything unusual about it. Luckily, they happened to be the only two people on the beach with their dogs. Since they were the only ones there, Brian suggested they take a photo. So he had Kimberlee get set up with their dogs and after waiting a while she turned around to find Brian down on one knee. Brian had a whole speech planned but in the moment, totally forgot what he was going to say. Instead, he simply muttered those words, "Will you marry me?" and it was an instant "YES!" for Kimberlee!
