So...you're curious about working with Lady Ilg Photography...

...but you still have some questions!  Let's ease your thoughts, once and for all!

What we're dying to know:

Why should we hire you?

Short answer: because I'm awesome at what I do!

Long answer:

I know choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important investments on your wedding day, and I know that you're not taking that lightly!  When you have me as your wedding photographer, you not only have someone who is there to take your photos, you have someone who truly cares about you as more than a client.

I promise I will make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and most of all happy and confident on the most important day of your life!

I pay attention to all the details you need and will communicate with you throughout the planning process so that when I show up on your big day, you can relax knowing I've got you taken care of. My goal is not to make you feel like you're not just hiring a wedding photographer--but more like an extra bridesmaid with a camera because I truly want to take care of you.

What should we expect to spend while working with you?

My clients average spending around $4,100.00 throughout their experience working with me.  My collections range from $3,050-$6,500.  My goal is to make sure you're confident in your choice to work with me, so let's start a conversation so we can come to a mutual conclusion on what would best fit your needs!

How many images will we receive?

The amount of images you receive will vary depending on which collection you choose/how many guests are attending your wedding/how many are in your family and bridal party, etc; but you can expect to see anywhere between 550-750 images from your wedding day.

When should we expect to see our images?

You an expect to see your images no more than 4 weeks after your wedding date!  The contract you sign states 4-6 weeks so in case I need a bit of a buffer due to unforeseen circumstances, I have it, but I honestly LOVE to under-promise and over-deliver!

Do you work with an assistant?

You can consider my second photographer a trusty assistant as well.  While my second photographer is responsible for capturing images on your wedding day, she will also be responsible for helping me out in any needed situation.

Where do you live, and do you travel for weddings?

I live just South of Denver Colorado and will gladly travel wherever you need!  If your wedding is out of state, I will draft a travel cost analysis for you, and if your wedding is in state, the fee is .54 per mile.  Let's chat so you can have a better idea of what that would look like for you!

Do we receive the copyright of the images?

You will receive what's called a "copyright release" which will allow you to download, print, and share your images anywhere.  Although I will always own the copyright of your images, you have the freedom to share and print them however you like!

Do you deliver RAW files?

The short answer is I do not.  Every image you receive is color corrected and touched by me before sending it out.  RAW files are not edited images and are essentially impossible to do anything with without the correct software.  All your images will be delivered to you in High-res JPEG format.

Do you offer engagement photos?

Absolutely!  In fact, I recommend you take advantage of this if at all possible!  My engagement sessions are complimentary with my collections and are a great way for me to get to know you both, and also a great way for you to get comfortable with me before we work together on your wedding day!

How do you describe your photography style?

My photography style is best described as photo journalistic.  My job is to photograph your day as it unfolds; rather than staging moments that aren't real, I'll do my best to capture the moments that naturally happen throughout the day.  Of course, we will need to stage your traditional family photographs, and a few of you two together, but aside from that, I want you to just be yourselves and the magic will happen!

Do we need to provide you with a "shot list"?

I've photographed well over 100 weddings at this point and have become an expert at anticipating to photograph moments before they even happen, so no, you do not need to provide me with a shot-list.  If I am looking at a list all day long, I might be missing real moments that are happening right in front of me.  The best answer is to let me do my thing and I promise you'll be thrilled!

How long have you been photographing weddings?  Are you prepared to deal with unforeseen circumstances at the wedding?

I've owned my business now full time for 6 years and have photographed over 100 weddings...I have learned to work in high-stress situations and am confident that I will be able to handle anything that comes my way on your wedding day (while also making sure I do my best to avoid unforeseen disasters along the way ;))

Can you provide my venue with a proof of insurance?

Absolutely I can!  All your venue needs to do is to email me with a request and I will send it on over to them!

How do payments work and what do we need to book you?

You will need to pay a retainer and sign a contract to book me for your date.  The retainer which is 30% of your collection fee (+ mileage) is due within a week of signing your contract and the remaining balance (70%) is due 30 days before your wedding.

What happens if you are unable to make it to our wedding due to unforeseen circumstances?

I would be so sad!  However, I do understand that something might happen that is out of my control.  I see it as my responsibility to show up to your wedding, regardless, and I do not take that lightly, however, if I am unable to make it, I will find you a replacement photographer of equal style and value.

Do you offer any discounts for off season/weekday weddings?

The amount of work, passion and talent that I invest in every single one of my couple's stays the same regardless of whether your wedding is on a weekday in December, or a Saturday in September.  Therefore, I do not offer discounts for off season/weekday weddings.  If budget is a concern, let's chat!  I would love to see if we can work something out!

Have you shot at my venue before?

There's a 50/50 percent chance that I have!  However, if I have not, I will take my own personal time before I begin shooting on your wedding day to scout out the venue.  (No, you will not be charged extra for this)

Do you photograph anything else aside from weddings and engagements?

I'm a firm believer in mastering my craft and also believe that I work BEST with couples!  Therefore, I specialize solely on engagements and weddings, however, I have wonderful photographers I can happily refer you to if you're looking for something else!

Will you be able to show us full galleries from past weddings you've shot?

Absolutely!  When you first inquire with me, I will send you a detailed price list as well as a couple galleries so you can get a good idea of what a full day with me might look like.

What happens if I lose my images from our wedding day?

Don't panic!  I back up all my images on a cloud server and a hard drive.  You lose your images?  All you have to do is email me, and I'll upload your gallery right away!
